Job Title: Children’s Network Pastor FLSA status: Exempt; Pastoral Administration
Time Type: Full-time Reports to: Senior Pastor
Position Summary: Overseer of the spiritual, educational and administrative needs of church members from birth to fifth grade. Participates as spiritual overseer of elementary age children of Parklawn Christian Leadership Academy. Primary objective is to consolidate members to Christ and develop disciples within the cell ministry structure.
Position responsibilities:
- Supervises administrative, pastoral positions and volunteers within the network
- Leads the design and implementation of the ministry activities for the children’s network, (i.e. consolidation, discipleship and cell ministry)
- Establishes, implements and monitors written policies and procedures impacting the children
- Develops and coordinates ongoing Christian education, pastoral care, counseling and worship experiences suitable for children
- Works with PRISM pastors, Outreach Ministry Teams and other ministry teams in achieving overall ministry objectives
- Developing relationships with children and parents, supporting ministry of parents in the home
- Creating outreach opportunities to share the gospel with children in community and give children trained in leadership opportunities to do work of the ministry
- Prepares quarterly ministry reports
- Prepares and manages the annual budget for the children’s network
- Coordinates with other members of the church staff
- Performs other duties as assigned
Role qualifications:
- Must endorse and support the Church Covenant and Doctrine of Faith as it appears in the church constitution
- Must adhere to the theocratic leadership and doctrine of Parklawn Assembly of God
- Must commit to Parklawn Assembly of God’s mission/vision statement, “Bringing Light to the World by fulfilling the great commission and the great commandment.”
- Must provide sound oversight of all financial matters relating to the Children’s Network
- Must maintain good standing as a member of Parklawn Assembly of God.
- Must possess a sincere love and Christ-like passion for children and their families.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Baccalaureate degree preferred
- Credentialing through the Assembly of God, a plus
- 3-5 years of experience with children required; Children’s Pastor experience preferred
- Experience administering programs and detailed work, preferred
- Supervisory and/or team-leadership experience, preferred
