From the desk of Dr. Arrington

Proverbs 1:5 (AMP) “The wise will hear and increase their learning, And the person of understanding will acquire wise counsel and the skill [to steer his course wisely and lead others to the truth],..” Leaders are readers! Did you know that? I’ll prove it. Consider the following words by Philosopher Parker Palmer: “But if is true that we are made for community, then leadership is everyone’s vocation, and it can be an evasion to insist that it is not. When we live in the close-knit ecosystem called community, everyone follows, and everyone leads.” Wow! I love Palmer’s depth of insight! The Church is God’s embassy in the earth. We are ambassadors and citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven (Phil. 3:20) called to bring the influence of God government to the world. We’ve been commissioned to make disciples in all places and among all people by building relationships, by teaching, and by demonstrating kingdom culture. Holy Spirit empowers us (Acts 1:5,8). Holy Spirit guides us (John 16:13) Therefore, we are always followers. Yet, we are also leaders. Friend, you have a mandate from heaven to follow and lead. Both actions require study (Joshua 1:7-8). So, be edified! Grow. Increase. Invest in your own spiritual and personal development by constantly gleaning from the bible and from powerful, insightful writings from anointed individuals. May the Lord give you grace and peace in abundance as you read and lead!
